  • The logo explains the whole Wing Tjun System:

The triangle shape stands for the triangle from outside to inside and from inside to outside.

The straight line stands for the straight line concept ( shortest distance between two points) and the centreline concept.

The space between the lines stands for the detachment which is the direct connection to the Chan Buddhism, Wing Tjuns origin is the Southern Shaolin Temple.

The three parts stand for Heaven ( Time ), Earth ( Space ), Human ( Energy ). The first battle of the Saam Chien is about mastering body, mind and energy.

The circular shape stands for the structure of the body and its parts, for the structure of all movements. Further it stands for the stance turning, the wheel bearing body concept and the power transfer through spiral and circular motions.

The calculation of the 18 Lohan:

    ( 5 ) = Five Lines Theory

    ( 3 ) = Heaven / Earth / Man Gates

    (3 ) = Heaven / Earth / Man Ranges

    ( 2 ) = Two -lines Offense

    ( 3 ) = Three-shapes Structure

    ( 2 ) = Fast Ging & Noi Ging

    5 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 2 = 18
