Taiji and Meditation: an approach to maintaining a strong healthy body and mind
We use meditation to increase mental and physical strength. Our work and everyday lives cause stress on our body and mind, and can leave us feeling exhausted. Meditation on a daily basis can help you de-stress yourself. The use of stillness, both standing and sitting, helps in relaxing the body and mind. You will feel recharged after a class with a clearer mind and a relaxed body.

The benefits of this exercise are many. It can help you to control your blood pressure levels, maintain heartbeat rate, get better sleep, improve core strength and body alignment, and overall create a better connection between the mind and body.
The practice allows the flow of ‘qi’ ( life force energy ) through the body’s meridians and naturally helps dissolve any blockages that may be present, resulting in the body being able to return to its own natural rhythm.
What should you bring along for our meditation classes?

- Casual and comfortable clothing
- A bottle of water
...and that's it. We generally remove any footwear during classes. Our meditation lessons are available to customers in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Taiji Quan- an ancient Chinese martial art technique

Whilst ‘Taiji Quan’ can be something that may not be aware you of, you know a bit about it by its popular name- ‘Tai Chi’. It’s an age-old martial arts self-defence training which also has many health benefits and is widely practised to help in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Taiji consists mainly of low impact exercises with a combination of free-flowing movements and deep breathing techniques making it a popular martial art with many, since it began in the 13th century.
